Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded Human human prostate tissues using TIA1 antibody with DAB staining. with heat-mediated antigen retrieval using sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) (OM750020) for 2 minutes. Wash the sections with ddH₂O and PBS (OM750003). Block the tissue with 10% non-immune goat serum(OM760028) at room temperature . Incubate the tissue with the primary antibody diluted at a ratio of 1:200 at 4°C overnight. At room temperature, dilute the secondary antibody, Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H&L)-HRP (OM643487), at a ratio of 1:200 and incubate for one hour. | Gene Summary | The product encoded by this gene is a member of a RNA-binding protein family and possesses nucleolytic activity against cytotoxic lymphocyte (CTL) target cells. It has been suggested that this protein may be involved in the induction of apoptosis as it preferentially recognizes poly(A) homopolymers and induces DNA fragmentation in CTL targets. The major granule-associated species is a 15-kDa protein that is thought to be derived from the carboxyl terminus of the 40-kDa product by proteolytic processing.
