Gene Full Name tubulin beta class I
Gene Summary This gene encodes a beta tubulin protein. This protein forms a dimer with alpha tubulin and acts as a structural component of microtubules. Mutations in this gene cause cortical dysplasia, complex, with other brain malformations 6. Alternative splicing results in multiple splice variants. There are multiple pseudogenes for this gene on chromosomes 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 13. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2014]
Molecular Weight(MW) 55kDa
Cellular Localization Cell projection Cytoplasm Cytoskeleton Microtubule
Application

ICC/IF

Immunofluorescence analysis of Hela cells using β-Tubulin antibody (green). Blue: DAPI fluorescent DNA dye. Incubate the tissue with the primary antibody diluted at a ratio of 1:200 at 4°C overnight. At room temperature, dilute the secondary antibody, Goat Anti-Mouse IgG(H&L)-HRP (OM644366), at a ratio of 1:200 and incubate for one hour. Tyramine labeled with 488 (Green,OM642679) was used as chromogenic agent, and DAPI(Blue,OM642679) was used for double dyeing, and the anti-fluorescence attenuation tablets were sealed.
