Dual specificity mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 5
MAPK/ERK kinase 5
Molecular Weight(MW) 50112 Da
Function Acts as a scaffold for the formation of a ternary MAP3K2/MAP3K3-MAP3K5-MAPK7 signaling complex. Activation of this pathway appears to play a critical role in protecting cells from stress-induced apoptosis, neuronal survival and cardiac development and angiogenesis
Tissue Specificity Expressed in many adult tissues. Abundant in heart and skeletal muscle

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of anti-MEK5 Pab in Ramos cell lysate. MEK5 (Arrow) was detected using purified Pab. Secondary HRP-anti-rabbit was used for signal visualization with chemiluminescence.

Application

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human heart muscle tissue reacted with MEK5 antibody (C-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
Application Notes WB:1:100~500 IHC
