Rabbit polyclonal antibody to AAK1AAK1 is a serine/threonine kinase that is thought to coordinate the recruitment of AP-2 to receptors containing tyrosine-based internalization motifs by phosphorylating the μ2 subunit. There is strong evidence that this protein is the endogenous mu 2 kinase and plays a regulatory role in clathrin-mediated endocytosis, including the regulation of fatty acid synthesis and cholesterol synthesis.

Tested Applications
WB
Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes ~95 kDa AAK1 in samples from human, mouse and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.:
Western blot analysis of AAK1 expression in 3T3 cell lysate (Lane 1) and rat Kidney tissue lysate (Lane 2).
