Product Profile
Product Name B-Raf (V600E Mutant Specific) antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit Monoclonal antibody [RM8] to B-Raf (V600E Mutant Specific)This gene encodes a protein belonging to the raf/mil family of serine/threonine protein kinases. This protein plays a role in regulating the MAP kinase/ERKs signaling pathway, which affects cell division, differentiation, and secretion. Mutations in this gene are associated with cardiofaciocutaneous syndrome, a disease characterized by heart defects, mental retardation and a distinctive facial appearance. Mutations in this gene have also been associated with various cancers, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma, colorectal cancer, malignant melanoma, thyroid carcinoma, non-small cell lung carcinoma, and adenocarcinoma of lung. A pseudogene, which is located on chromosome X, has been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Application

Application

Immunohistochemical staining of formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human cell line sections. SW40 Cells (400X, Negative)

Application

Sandwich ELISA performed on the lysates of 293T cells overexpressing BRAF V600E or BRAF wild type His-tag proteins, shows the specificity of RM8 to the V600E mutation. His-tag fusion proteins were captured by an Anti-His-Tag antibody.

Application

Immunohistochemical staining of formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human cell line sections. WiDr Cells (400X, Positive)

Application

Western Blot analysis of cell lysates prepared from cell lines expressing endogenous mutant (V600E) BRAF or wild type (WT) protein.

Application

Immunohistochemical staining of formalin fixed and paraffin embedded melanoma tissue sections.
Application Notes Immunohistochemistry (IHC): 2 – 10 ug/mL, Immunocytochemistry (ICC): 2 – 10 ug/mL, Western Blot (WB): 0.5 – 2 ug/mL:
