Product Profile
Product Name Cardiac Troponin I (phospho Ser22/Ser23) antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to Cardiac Troponin I (phospho Ser22/Ser23)Troponin I (TnI), along with troponin T (TnT) and troponin C (TnC), is one of 3 subunits that form the troponin complex of the thin filaments of striated muscle. TnI is the inhibitory subunit; blocking actin-myosin interactions and thereby mediating striated muscle relaxation. The TnI subfamily contains three genes: TnI-skeletal-fast-twitch, TnI-skeletal-slow-twitch, and TnI-cardiac. This gene encodes the TnI-cardiac protein and is exclusively expressed in cardiac muscle tissues. Mutations in this gene cause familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy type 7 (CMH7) and familial restrictive cardiomyopathy (RCM). [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of cTnI (pS22/S23) expression in SHSY5Y (A); NIH3T3 (B); mouse heart (C) whole cell lysates.

Application

Immunohistochemical analysis of cTnI (pS22/S23) staining in human heart formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugad compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
