Product Profile
Product Name CREB antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to CREBThis gene encodes a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. This protein binds as a homodimer to the cAMP-responsive element, an octameric palindrome. The protein is phosphorylated by several protein kinases, and induces transcription of genes in response to hormonal stimulation of the cAMP pathway. Alternate splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Immunogen KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the center region of human CREB. The exact sequence is proprietary.

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of CREB expression in MCF7 (A); mouse brain (B); rat brain (C) whole cell lysates.

Application

Immunohistochemical analysis of CREB staining in human breast cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
