Product Profile
Product Name FAK (phospho Tyr577) antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit polyclonal to FAK ( phospho Y577 )Focal Adhesion Kinase is a 125 kDa non-receptor protein tyrosine kinase that acts as a substrate for Src and is a key element of integrin signalling. Focal Adhesion Kinase plays a central role in cell spreading, differentiation, migration, cell death and acceleration of the G1 to S phase transition of the cell cycle. The phosphorylation site pTyr577 is phosphorylated by Src. Tyrosine 576 and 577 are located in the catalytic position of Focal Adhesion Kinase and when phosphorylated, results in maximal activity.
Immunogen Synthetic peptide derived from a region of Focal Adhesion Kinase that contains tyrosine 577. The sequence is conserved in human, mouse and frog.
