Product Profile
Product Name Insulin antibody, Internal
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit polyclonal to INS (Insulin) (Internal)After removal of the precursor signal peptide, proinsulin is post-translationally cleaved into three peptides: the B chain and A chain peptides, which are covalently linked via two disulfide bonds to form insulin, and C-peptide. Binding of insulin to the insulin receptor (INSR) stimulates glucose uptake. A multitude of mutant alleles with phenotypic effects have been identified. There is a read-through gene, INS-IGF2, which overlaps with this gene at the 5' region and with the IGF2 gene at the 3' region. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq]
Immunogen KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 42~72 amino acids from the Center region of human INS.

Application

Application

INS (Insulin) Antibody (Center) flow cytometric analysis of Hela cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.

Application

Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of INS (Insulin) Antibody (Center) with pancreas tissue followed by Alexa Fluor® 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green). DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).

Application

INS Antibody (Insulin) (Center) immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human pancreas tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of INS Antibody (Insulin) (Center) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Application

INS (Insulin) Antibody (Center) western blot analysis in NCI-H460 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the INS antibody detected the INS protein (arrow).
