Product Profile
Product Name KCNMB2 antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to KCNMB2MaxiK channels are large conductance, voltage and calcium-sensitive potassium channels which are fundamental to the control of smooth muscle tone and neuronal excitability. MaxiK channels can be formed by 2 subunits: the pore-forming alpha subunit and the modulatory beta subunit. The protein encoded by this gene is an auxiliary beta subunit which decreases the activation time of MaxiK alpha subunit currents. Two variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Application

Application

Anti-slobeta2_(KCNMB2) - Western blot analysis of rat kidney (lanes 1 and 3) and rat heart (lanes 2 and 4) membranes: 1, 2. Anti-sloβ2 (KCNMB2) antibody, (1:200). 3, 4. Anti-sloβ2 (KCNMB2) antibody, preincubated with the control peptide antigen.

Application

Anti-slobeta2_(KCNMB2) - Expression of slobeta2 in rat hippocampus Immunohistochemical staining of rat hippocampus using Anti-sloβ2 (KCNMB2). A. sloβ2 appears in the pyramidal layer (green). B. Staining of interneurons with mouse anti parvalbumin (PV, red). C. Confocal merge of sloβ2 and PV demonstrates presence of sloβ2 also in PV (GABA containing) cells (orange).
