Product Profile
Product Name p73 (phospho Tyr99) antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to p73 (phospho Tyr99)This gene encodes a member of the p53 family of transcription factors involved in cellular responses to stress and development. It maps to a region on chromosome 1p36 that is frequently deleted in neuroblastoma and other tumors, and thought to contain multiple tumor suppressor genes. The demonstration that this gene is monoallelically expressed (likely from the maternal allele), supports the notion that it is a candidate gene for neuroblastoma. Many transcript variants resulting from alternative splicing and/or use of alternate promoters have been found for this gene, but the biological validity and the full-length nature of some variants have not been determined. Application

Application

Western blot analysis of p73 (pY99) expression in Jurkat (A); HeLa UV-treated (B) whole cell lysates.

Application

Immunohistochemical analysis of p73 (pY99) staining in human lung cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
