GTF2F2 synergizes with HIV-1 Tat and the cellular coactivator Tat-SF1 during Tat-mediated transactivation of the HIV-1 LTR promoter. This gene is required for both basal and HIV-1 Tat-activated transcription.1) Heng, HH., et al., (1994) Hum. Mol. Genet. 3 (1), 61-64.
