TUT1 is a nucleotidyl transferase that functions as both a terminal uridylyltransferase and a nuclear poly (A) polymerase. TUT1 specifically adds and removes nucleotides from the 3' end of small nuclear RNAs and select mRNAs and may function in controlling gene expression and cell proliferation.TUT1 specifically catalyzes uridylylation of U6 snRNA (RNU6; MIM 180692) and is essential for cell proliferation (Trippe et al., 2006 [PubMed 16790842]).1) Gonzales, M.L., (2008) J. Storage Instructions
For short periods of storage (days) store at 4˚C. For longer periods of storage, store TUT1 antibody at -20˚C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
Storage Buffer
Antibody is lyophilized in PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 50 μL of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/mL.
