ZNF131 belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. It contains 1 BTB (POZ) domain and 6 C2H2-type zinc fingers. It may be involved in transcriptional regulation. ZNF131 plays a role during development and organogenesis as well as in the function of the adult central nervous system.1) Donaldson, N.S., (2007) Biochim. Biophys. Acta 1773 (4), 546-555.
