ZNF175 expression in brain mononuclear phagocytes is a signature for advanced HIV-1 encephalitis. As a transcriptional suppressor, this protein plays a role in macrophage control of viral replication during advanced HIV-1 infection.1) Carlson, K.A., et al., (2004) J.
