Western blot analysis of MSP / MST1 on different lysates with Rabbit anti-MSP / MST1 antibody at 1/1,000 dilution. Lane 1: HeLa cell lysate (20 µg/Lane), Lane 2: PC-3 cell lysate (20 µg/Lane), Lane 3: NIH/3T3 cell lysate (20 µg/Lane), Lane 4: C2C12 cell lysate (20 µg/Lane), Lane 5: C6 cell lysate (20 µg/Lane), Lane 6: COS-1 cell lysate (20 µg/Lane), Lane 7: Rat spleen tissue lysate (40 µg/Lane), Exposure time: 2 minutes; 4-20% SDS-PAGE gel. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody at 1/1,000 dilution was used in 5% NFDM/TBST at 4℃ overnight. | Gene Summary | The protein encoded by this gene contains four kringle domains and a serine protease domain, similar to that found in hepatic growth factor. Despite the presence of the serine protease domain, the encoded protein may not have any proteolytic activity. The receptor for this protein is RON tyrosine kinase, which upon activation stimulates ciliary motility of ciliated epithelial lung cells.
