Target Information
Gene Symbol Pln
Gene Synonyms Plb
Gene Full Name phospholamban
Gene Summary Enables ATPase inhibitor activity and protein homodimerization activity. Involved in several processes, including locomotor rhythm; negative regulation of calcium ion import into sarcoplasmic reticulum; and visual learning. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including muscle cell cellular homeostasis; regulation of calcium ion transport; and regulation of heart contraction. Located in sarcoplasmic reticulum membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; ear; heart; nervous system; and skeleton. Used to study centronuclear myopathy. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in dilated cardiomyopathy 1P and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy 18. Orthologous to human PLN (phospholamban). Application

WB

Western blot analysis of Phospho-Phospholamban (S16) on different lysates with Rabbit anti-Phospho-Phospholamban (S16) antibody at 1/1,000 dilution. Lane 1: Mouse heart tissue lysate, Lane 2: Rat heart tissue lysate, Lane 3: Mouse heart tissue lysate, the membrane treated with λpp for 1 hour, Lysates/proteins at 40 µg/Lane. Exposure time: 3 minutes; 4-20% SDS-PAGE gel. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody at 1/1,000 dilution was used in 5% NFDM/TBST at 4℃ overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody at 1/50,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.
Application Notes WB:1:1000
