Western blot analysis of lysates from HeLa cells, using Phospho-TrkA-Y674/675 + TrkB-Y706/707 Rabbit pAb at 1:500 dilution. HeLa cells were treated with Pervanadate (1 nM) at 37℃ for 30 minutes after serum-starvation overnight. Secondary antibody: HRP-conjugated Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at 1:10000 dilution. | Gene Summary | This gene encodes a member of the neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor (NTKR) family. This kinase is a membrane-bound receptor that, upon neurotrophin binding, phosphorylates itself and members of the MAPK pathway. The presence of this kinase leads to cell differentiation and may play a role in specifying sensory neuron subtypes. Mutations in this gene have been associated with congenital insensitivity to pain, anhidrosis, self-mutilating behavior, cognitive disability and cancer.
