Target Information
Gene Symbol SSR1
Gene Synonyms TRAPA
Gene Full Name signal sequence receptor subunit 1
Gene Summary The signal sequence receptor (SSR) is a glycosylated endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane receptor associated with protein translocation across the ER membrane. The SSR consists of 2 subunits, a 34-kD glycoprotein encoded by this gene and a 22-kD glycoprotein. This gene generates several mRNA species as a result of complex alternative polyadenylation. This gene is unusual in that it utilizes arrays of polyA signal sequences that are mostly non-canonical. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Application

WB

Western blot analysis of TRAPA/SSR1 using anti-TRAPA/SSR1 antibody. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 ug of sample under reducing conditions. After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a membrane. Then the membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-TRAPA/SSR1 antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody at a dilution of 1:1000 and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody. The signal is developed using ECL Plus Western Blotting Substrate.

IHC

IHC analysis of TRAPA/SSR1 using anti-TRAPA/SSR1 antibody. TRAPA/SSR1 was detected in a paraffin-embedded section of mouse brain tissue. Biotinylated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody. The tissue section was incubated with rabbit anti-TRAPA/SSR1 Antibody at a dilution of 1:200 and developed using Strepavidin-Biotin-Complex (SABC) with DAB as the chromogen.

IHC

IHC analysis of TRAPA/SSR1 using anti-TRAPA/SSR1 antibody. TRAPA/SSR1 was detected in a paraffin-embedded section of rat brain tissue.

TRAPA/SSR1 was detected in a paraffin-embedded section of human liver cancer tissue.

ICC/IF

ICC/IF analysis of TRAPA/SSR1 using anti-TRAPA/SSR1 antibody. TRAPA/SSR1 was detected in an immunocytochemical section of K562 cells. The section was incubated with rabbit anti-TRAPA/SSR1 Antibody at a dilution of 1:100. Fluoro488 Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (Green) was used as secondary antibody. The section was counterstained with DAPI (Blue).

IP

IP analysis of TRAPA/SSR1 using anti-TRAPA/SSR1 antibody in HepG2 whole cell lysate. Western blot analysis of TRAPA/SSR1 using anti- TRAPA/SSR1 antibody. After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a membrane. Then the membrane was incubated with rabbit anti- TRAPA/SSR1 antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody at a dilution of 1:1000 and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody. The signal is developed using ECL Plus Western Blotting Substrate.

FC

Flow Cytometry analysis of K562 cells using anti-TRAPA/SSR1 antibody. Overlay histogram showing K562 cells stained with Anti-TRAPA/SSR1 Antibody (Blue line). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with permeabilization buffer. The cells were blocked with 10% normal goat serum. And then incubated with rabbit anti-TRAPA/SSR1 Antibody at 1:100 dilution for 30 min at 20°C. Fluoro488 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody at 1:100 dilution for 30 minutes at 20°C. Isotype control antibody (Green line) was rabbit IgG at 1:100 dilution used under the same conditions. Unlabelled sample without incubation with primary antibody and secondary antibody (Red line) was used as a blank control.
