Polyethylene Linear (PEI) is a cationic polymer transfection reagent with a molecular weight of 25000. It can form a complex with nucleic acid and allow the complex to enter mammalian cells. Linear PEI transfection reagents are widely applicable. This reagent can work in a complete culture medium containing serum and antibiotics, and even in the presence of serum, it can efficiently introduce nucleic acids into cells. The experimental operation is simple, with high transfection efficiency for most cultured cells (used for common cell lines such as HEK-293, HEK293T, Hep G2, Hela, CHO-K1, COS-1, COS-7, NIH/3T3, Sf9, etc.), and low cytotoxicity. |
