The N-2 Supplement, based on Bottenstein’s N-1 formulation, is a chemically defined serum-free additive. It is recommended for supporting the growth and expression of primary neuroblastomas and post-mitotic neurons derived from both the peripheral nervous system and the central nervous system. The N-2 Supplement is provided as a 100X concentrate and can be used in combination with Neurobasal Medium supplemented with growth factors such as basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and epidermal growth factor (EGF). It can also be used in combination with Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM). |
