recommended for detection of TIGD3 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP and ELISA
Modification Notes
TIGD3 (tigger transposable element derived 3) is a 471 amino acid nuclear protein that belongs to the tigger subfamily of the pogo superfamily of DNA-mediated transposons. Containing one HTH psq-type DNA-binding domain, a HTH CENPB-type DNA-binding domain and a single DDE domain, TIGD3 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 11, which comprises approximately 4% of human genomic DNA and is considered a gene and disease association dense chromosome. The chromosome 11 encoded Atm gene is important for regulation of cell cycle arrest and apoptosis following double strand DNA breaks. Atm mutation leads to the disorder known as ataxia-telangiectasia. Jervell and Lange-Nielsen syndrome, Jacobsen syndrome, Niemann-Pick disease, hereditary angioedema and Smith-Lemli-Opitz syndrome are also associated with defects in chromosome 11-encoded genes.
