Product Profile
Product Name ZNF500 Antibody (A-21)
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Antigen Alias recommended for detection of ZNF500 of human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including canine
Modification Notes Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and have a wide variety of functions, most of which encompass some form of transcriptional activation or repression. The majority of zinc-finger proteins contain a Krüppel-type DNA binding domain and a KRAB domain, which is thought to interact with KAP1, thereby recruiting histone modifying proteins. ZNF500, also designated Zinc finger protein with KRAB and SCAN domains 18 or ZKSCAN18, belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family of proteins. ZNF500 is 480 amino acids in length and contains 5 C2H2-type zinc fingers, 1 KRAB domain and 1 SCAN box domain. Localized to the nucleus, ZNF500 is a metal-binding protein that may be involved in DNA-dependent transcriptional regulation activity.
