Product Profile
Product Name Parg Antibody (C-term)
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Antigen Alias PARG; Poly(ADP-ribose) glycohydrolase
Key Feature
Clonality Polyclonal
Isotype Ig
Host Species Rabbit
Tested Applications WBIHC
WB:1:100~500 IHC
Species Reactivity Human
Concentration 1mg/ml
Target Information
Alternative Names PARG
Poly(ADP-ribose) glycohydrolase
Molecular Weight(MW) 111110 Da
Function Poly(ADP-ribose) synthesized after DNA damage is only present transiently and is rapidly degraded by poly(ADP-ribose) glycohydrolase. PARG acts both as an endo- and exoglycosidase, releasing PAR of different length as well as ADP-ribose monomers Required for retinoid acid-dependent gene transactivation, probably by dePARsylating histone demethylase KDM4D, allowing chromatin derepression at RAR-dependent gene promoters
Tissue Specificity Ubiquitously expressed.
Cellular Localization Isoform 1: Nucleus. Note=Co-localizes with PCNA at replication foci. Relocalizes to the cytoplasm in response to DNA damage Isoform 3: Cytoplasm. Isoform 5: Mitochondrion matrix.

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of Parg (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal Parg Antibody (C-term) .293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the Parg gene (Lane 2) (Origene Technologies).

Application

Western blot analysis of Parg Antibody (C-term) in 293 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). Parg (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab (1:60 dilution).

Application

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma tissue reacted with Parg antibody (C-term) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.
Application Notes WB:1:100~500 IHC
