Function Key regulator of entry into cell division. Directly involved in heterochromatin formation by maintaining overall chromatin structure and, in particular, that of constitutive heterochromatin by stabilizing histone methylation. Recruits and targets histone methyltransferases SUV420H1 and SUV420H2, leading to epigenetic transcriptional repression. Controls histone H4 'Lys-20' trimethylation. Probably acts as a transcription repressor by recruiting chromatin-modifying enzymes to promoters Potent inhibitor of E2F-mediated trans-activation. Forms a complex with adenovirus E1A and with SV40 large T antigen. May bind and modulate functionally certain cellular proteins with which T and E1A compete for pocket binding. May act as a tumor suppressor
Tissue Specificity This Phospho-Rb-like-1-S975 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding S975 of human Rb-like 1.
Cellular Localization Nucleus (Potential).

Application

Application

The anti-Phospho-Rb-like-1-S975 Pab is used in Western blot to detect Phospho-Rb-like-1-S975 in A2058 tissue lysate

Application

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.
Application Notes WB:1:100~500 IHC
Additional Information
Form Liquid
Storage Instructions For short-term storage, store at 4° C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20ºC or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Storage Buffer Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is first purified by protein G affinity chromatography. Then, the antibody fraction is peptide affinity purified in a 2-step procedure with control and phosphorylated peptides. The phospho-specific antibody is eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.
