Function Involved in the generation of internal asymmetric signals required for neuronal polarization. Acts upstream of PI3K (phosphoinositide 3-kinase), by being required for spatially localized PI3K activity. Accumulates asymmetrically in a single neurite before polarization, leading to axon induction for polarization, its absence from the nascent axon's siblings by competition preventing the formation of surplus axons (By similarity)
Tissue Specificity This SHOT1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 579~608 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human SHOT1.
Cellular Localization Cell projection, axon (By similarity).

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of SHOT1 Antibody (C-term) in HepG2 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). SHOT1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

Application

SHOT1 Antibody (C-term) IHC analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human brain tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of the SHOT1 Antibody (C-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Application

SHOT1 Antibody (C-term) flow cytometric analysis of HepG2 cells (bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
Application Notes WB:1:100~500 IHC
