Putative adhesion molecule that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells. Binds to alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid The sialic acid recognition site may be masked by cis interactions with sialic acids on the same cell surface
Tissue Specificity
Expressed at high levels in placenta (cyto- and syncytiotrophoblastic cells) and at lower levels in spleen, peripheral blood leukocytes (predominantly B-cells) and small intestine
Cellular Localization
Isoform 1: Cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein
Western blot analysis of SIGLEC6 Antibody (N-term) in NCI-H460 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). SIGLEC6 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

Storage Instructions
For short-term storage, store at 4° C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20ºC or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Storage Buffer
Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein G column, eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.
