Function Transferrins are iron binding transport proteins which can bind two Fe(3+) ions in association with the binding of an anion, usually bicarbonate. It is responsible for the transport of iron from sites of absorption and heme degradation to those of storage and utilization. Serum transferrin may also have a further role in stimulating cell proliferation
Tissue Specificity Expressed by the liver and secreted in plasma.
Cellular Localization Secreted.

Application

Application

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma reacted with TF Antibody (C-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Application

TF Antibody (C-term) flow cytometry analysis of HepG2 cells (bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.

Application

Western blot analysis of TF Antibody (C-term) in MCF7 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). TF (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.
Application Notes IHC:1:50~100 FC
