ZFP36 G0S24 RNF162A TIS11A TTP Tristetraprolin G0/G1 switch regulatory protein 24 Growth factor-inducible nuclear protein NUP475 Protein TIS11A Zinc finger protein 36 homolog
Molecular Weight(MW)
34003 Da
Function
mRNA-binding protein involved in post-transcriptional regulation of AU-rich element (ARE)-containing mRNAs. Acts by specifically binding ARE-containing mRNAs and promoting their degradation. Plays a key role in the post-transcriptional regulation of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)
Tissue Specificity
This ZFP36 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 122~151 amino acids from the Center region of human ZFP36.
Cellular Localization
Nucleus. Cytoplasm. Note=Localizes to stress granules upon energy starvation. phosphorylation by MAPKAPK2 promotes exclusion from stress granules
Western blot analysis of ZFP36 Antibody (Center) in WiDr cell line lysates (35ug/lane). ZFP36 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.
Application Notes
