Target Information
Gene Synonyms PPH1
Alternative Names BMPR2
PPH1
Bone morphogenetic protein receptor type-2
Bone morphogenetic protein receptor type II
Molecular Weight(MW) 115201 Da
Function On ligand binding, forms a receptor complex consisting of two type II and two type I transmembrane serine/threonine kinases. Type II receptors phosphorylate and activate type I receptors which autophosphorylate, then bind and activate SMAD transcriptional regulators. Binds to BMP-7, BMP-2 and, less efficiently, BMP-4. Binding is weak but enhanced by the presence of type I receptors for BMPs
Tissue Specificity Highly expressed in heart and liver.
Cellular Localization Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of anti-BMPR2 Pab (Cat. #ap2006a) in mouse heart tissue lysate. BMPR2 (arrow) was detected using purified Pab. Secondary HRP-anti-rabbit was used for signal visualization with chemiluminescence.

Application

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue reacted with BMPR2 antibody (N-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Application

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human Kidney tissue reacted with BMPR2 antibody (N-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Application

Flow cytometric analysis of HepG2 cells using BMPR2 Antibody (N-term)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
Application Notes WB:1:100~500 IHC
