Dictyostelium discoideum FAM21 contains a Capping Protein the interaction site (CPI) at amino acids 1201--‐1217. A construct was created where this site was removed from FAM21, and both the full length and FAM21ΔCPI were tagged with GFP and expressed in D.discoideum cells. GFP--‐trap beads were used to purify both constructs and western blotting was used to detect the presence of CAP32 (D. discoideum Capping Protein subunit).
