Western blot analysis on (A) HeLa + Camptothecin, (B) HeLa, (C) Jurkat + Staurosporine and (D) Jurkat cell lysates using anti-Cleaved alpha-Fodrin (Asp1185) RabMAb (Cat. #AJ1191a).
Fodrin, which seems to be involved in secretion, interacts with calmodulin in a calcium-dependent manner and is thus candidate for the calcium-dependent movement of the cytoskeleton at the membrane
Tissue Specificity
A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human Alpha Fodrin was used as an immunogen. This antibody only detects the large fragment of Alpha Fodrin resulting from cleavage at aspartic acid 1185.
Cellular Localization
Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton. Cytoplasm, cell cortex. Note=Expressed along the cell membrane in podocytes and presumptive tubule cells during glomerulogenesis and is expressed along lateral cell margins in tubule cells (By similarity)
