Coatomer subunit zeta-2
Zeta-2-coat protein

Function The coatomer is a cytosolic protein complex that binds to dilysine motifs and reversibly associates with Golgi non- clathrin-coated vesicles, which further mediate biosynthetic protein transport from the ER, via the Golgi up to the trans Golgi network. Coatomer complex is required for budding from Golgi membranes, and is essential for the retrograde Golgi-to-ER transport of dilysine-tagged proteins. The zeta subunit may be involved in regulating the coat assembly and, hence, the rate of biosynthetic protein transport due to its association-dissociation properties with the coatomer complex (By similarity)
Tissue Specificity This COPZ2 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 165-195 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human COPZ2.
Cellular Localization Cytoplasm (By similarity). Golgi apparatus membrane; Peripheral membrane protein; Cytoplasmic side (By similarity). Cytoplasmic vesicle, COPI-coated vesicle membrane; Peripheral membrane protein; Cytoplasmic side (By similarity) Note=The coatomer is cytoplasmic or polymerized on the cytoplasmic side of the Golgi, as well as on the vesicles/buds originating from it (By similarity)

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of COPZ2 Antibody (C-term) in mouse spleen tissue lysates (35ug/lane).COPZ2 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

Application

COPZ2 Antibody (C-term) immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded mouse heart tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of the COPZ2 Antibody (C-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Application

COPZ2 Antibody (C-term) flow cytometric analysis of U251 cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
Application Notes WB:1:100~500 IHC
