Product Profile
Product Name CRAT Antibody (C-term)
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Antigen Alias CRAT; CAT1; Carnitine O-acetyltransferase; Carnitine acetyltransferase
Key Feature
Clonality Polyclonal
Isotype Ig
Host Species Rabbit
Tested Applications WBIHCFC
WB:1:50~100 IHC
Species Reactivity Human
Concentration 1mg/ml
Target Information
Gene Synonyms CAT1
Alternative Names CRAT
CAT1
Carnitine O-acetyltransferase
Carnitine acetyltransferase
Molecular Weight(MW) 70858 Da
Function Carnitine acetylase is specific for short chain fatty acids. Carnitine acetylase seems to affect the flux through the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex. It may be involved as well in the transport of acetyl-CoA into mitochondria
Tissue Specificity Mostly in skeletal muscle, less in heart, liver and pancreas, only weakly detectable in brain, placenta, lung and kidney
Cellular Localization Endoplasmic reticulum (Potential). Peroxisome (Potential). Mitochondrion inner membrane; Peripheral membrane protein; Matrix side (Potential) Isoform 2: Peroxisome (Potential).

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of CRAT antibody (C-term) in MDA-MB231 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). CRAT (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

Application

CRAT Antibody (C-term) IHC analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human Skeletal muscle followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of the CRAT Antibody (C-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Application

CRAT Antibody (C-term) flow cytometric analysis of CEM cells (bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
Application Notes WB:1:50~100 IHC
