Threonine kinase that regulates protein synthesis by controlling the rate of peptide chain elongation. Upon activation by a variety of upstream kinases including AMPK or TRM7, phosphorylates the elongation factor EEF2 at a single site, renders it unable to bind ribosomes and thus inactive. In turn, the rate of protein synthesis is reduced
Tissue Specificity
This EEF2K antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 36~65 amino acids from the N-term of human elongation factor 2 kinase.
Western blot analysis of anti-EEF2K in HepG2 cell line lysate (35ug/lane).EEF2K(arrow) was detected using the purified Pab (1:60 dilution).

Storage Instructions
For short-term storage, store at 4° C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20ºC or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Storage Buffer
Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is purified through a protein G column, eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.
