Function Catalyzes the N-oxidation of certain primary alkylamines to their oximes via an N-hydroxylamine intermediate. Inactive toward certain tertiary amines, such as imipramine or chloropromazine. Can catalyze the S-oxidation of methimazole. The truncated form is catalytically inactive
Tissue Specificity Expressed in lung (at protein level). Expressed predominantly in lung, and at a much lesser extent in kidney. Also expressed in fetal lung, but not in liver, kidney and brain
Cellular Localization Microsome membrane. Endoplasmic reticulum membrane

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of FMO2 antibody (C-term) in K562 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). FMO2 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

Application

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human lung carcinoma reacted with FMO2 Antibody (C-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Application

FMO2 Antibody (C-term) flow cytometric analysis of NCI-H292 cells (bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
Application Notes WB:1:50~100 IHC
