Catalyzes the formation of 5-oxoproline from gamma- glutamyl dipeptides and may play a significant role in glutathione homeostasis. Induces release of cytochrome c from mitochondria with resultant induction of apoptosis
Tissue Specificity
This GGCT antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 146~176 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human GGCT.
Western blot analysis of GGCT Antibody (C-term) in 293 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). GGCT (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.
