Function Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) are involved as modulators or transducers in various transmembrane signaling systems. G(olf) alpha mediates signal transduction within the olfactory neuroepithelium and the basal ganglia. May be involved in some aspect of visual transduction, and in mediating the effect of one or more hormones/neurotransmitters
Tissue Specificity Detected in olfactory neuroepithelium, brain, testis, and to a lower extent in retina, lung alveoli, spleen Trace amounts where seen in kidney, adrenal gland and liver. Found to be expressed in all the insulinomas examined

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of GNAL Antibody (N-term) in K562 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). GNAL (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

Application

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human brain tissue reacted with GNAL Antibody (N-term), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Application

Flow cytometric analysis of K562 cells using GNAL Antibody (N-term)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram)FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
Application Notes WB:1:100~500 IHC
