Product Profile
Product Name Alpha fetoprotein / AFP antibody (ready-to-use)
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit polyclonal to alpha 1 Fetoprotein predilutedAlpha-fetoprotein is a major plasma protein in the fetus, where it is produced by the yolk sac and liver. In the adult its concentration is very low except when a tumor such as hepatoma or teratoma is present. The similarity in physical properties of AFP and albumin and the fact that their presence is inversely related suggested that AFP is the fetal counterpart of serum albumin.
Immunogen Alpha-1-fetoprotein isolated from human cord serum.
Key Feature
Clonality Polyclonal

This antibody has been pretitered and quality controlled to work allon formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded as well as acetone fixed cryostat tissue sections. No further titration is required. We suggest an incubation period of 30-60 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user.:
