Product Profile
Product Name beta Arrestin 1 (phospho Ser412) antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to beta Arrestin 1 (phospho Ser412)Members of arrestin/beta-arrestin protein family are thought to participate in agonist-mediated desensitization of G-protein-coupled receptors and cause specific dampening of cellular responses to stimuli such as hormones, neurotransmitters, or sensory signals. Arrestin beta 1 is a cytosolic protein and acts as a cofactor in the beta-adrenergic receptor kinase (BARK) mediated desensitization of beta-adrenergic receptors. Besides the central nervous system, it is expressed at high levels in peripheral blood leukocytes, and thus the BARK/beta-arrestin system is believed to play a major role in regulating receptor-mediated immune functions. Alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms of arrestin beta 1 have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2011]

Application

Application

Western blot analysis of Beta-arrestin-1 (pS412) expression in HeLa (A); HEK293T (B); Raw264.7 (C); rat kidney (D) whole cell lysates.

Application

Immunohistochemical analysis of Beta-arrestin-1 (pS412) staining in human brain formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
Application Notes WB: 1:500 - 1:1000. IHC-P: 1:100 - 1:200
