Rabbit polyclonal antibody to BIKBIK is a member of Pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family proteins. Although Bik lacks Bcl-2 homologus region, BH1 and BH2, BIK interacts with Bcl-2 and Bcl-xL. BIK has been shown to induce apoptosis by activating caspase-9.

Tested Applications
WB
Western blotting (2-6 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Jurkat cell lysate, mouse small intestine and rat kidney can be used as positive controls. The antibody detects a ~17 kDa BIK in samples from human, mouse, and rat origins. A ~15 kDa cleavage fragment can also be detected
Around the nuclear envelope, and in cytoplasmic membranes.
Application
Application
Western blot analysis of BIK expression in Jurkat (Lane 1), mouse intestine (Lane 2) and rat kidney (Lane 3) lysates.
