| Product description | Mouse monoclonal [7e7] to cardiac Troponin TThis protein is the tropomyosin-binding subunit of the troponin complex, which is located on the thin filament of striated muscles and regulates muscle contraction in response to alterations in intracellular calcium ion concentration. Mutations within the protein have been associated with familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as well as with dilated cardiomyopathy. Transcripts for the gene undergo alternative splicing that results in many tissue-specific isoforms. |

Hybridoma cell line producing [7E7] was raised after hybridization of myeloma cell line sp2/0 with splenocytes of mice immunized with human tertiary Tn complex. Thus [7E7] demonstrates slight cross-reaction with cTnI (about 5 % based on ELISA data). |
