Product Profile
Product Name CD79a antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Mouse monoclonal [HM47 / A9] to CD79aCD79a is an intracellular component of the signal transduction pathway of the B-Cell Receptor (BCR). CD79a first appears at pre-B-cell stage, early in maturation. It persists until the plasma cell stage, when it is found as an intracellular component. CD79a is found in the majority of acute leukemias of precursor-B-cell type. It is also found in B-cell lines, B-cell lymphomas, and in some myelomas. It is not present in myeloid or T-cell lines.
Immunogen Synthetic peptide: GTYQDVGSLNIADVQ (Human).
Key Feature
Clonality Monoclonal
Isotype IgG1
Clone Number HM47/A9
Host Species Mouse
Tested Applications IHCIPWB
This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:25-1:75 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. We suggest an incubation period of 30 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 prior to immunostaining. IP: 1/50. WB: 1/50 - 1/100.:

Target CD79a
Tissue Specificity This antibody is specific to human CD79a antigen complex, consisting of two polypeptides non-covalently associated with membrane-bound immunoglobulins on B cells. This complex of polypeptide and immunoglobulins constitute the B cell antigen receptor. The two components of this complex are designated CD79a and CD79b. The CD79a antigen appears at the pre-B cell stage, early in maturation and persists until the plasma cell stage. The CD79a antigen is found in majority of acute leukemias of precursor B cell type, in B cell lines and B cell lymphomas.
Cellular Localization Cell membrane
Light Chain Type kappa
Positive Control Germinal center B cells in a lymph node or tonsil
