Mouse monoclonal [CF1] to c-FosThis antibody is reactive with c-fos protein in a large proportion of breast carcinomas. The c-fos protein, a 62 kD nuclear protein, becomes a transcriptionally active complex with properties of the transcription factor AP-1 when associated with c-jun protein.
Immunogen
The immunogen corresponding to a region within amino acids 120 and 155 of human c-Fos.

ImmunohistochemistryThis antibody can be used on frozen tissue sections only. For a three-step avidin-biotin complex system, a dilution of 1:20 to 1:40 may be used as a guideline. An overnight incubation with the primary antibody at 4°C produces the most consistent and reproducible results. The optimal conditions should be determined by the individual laboratory.:
