CCKB receptor binds both sulfated and non-sulfated cholecystokinin analogs. This receptor regulates anxiety, arousal, opiate-induced analgesia, and gastric-acid secretion. CCKB receptor has been reported in brain, colon, pancreas, stomach, thyroid, and various cancers. ESTs have been isolated from normal eye libraries and libraries derived from cancers of the brain, embryo, germ cell, lung, and placenta. |
