Mouse monoclonal [2H12 / 4] to DMC1The DMC1 protein is essential for meiotic homologous recombination. Genetic recombination in meiosis plays an important role in generating diversity of genetic information. The product of this gene is structurally and evolutionary related to the products of the yeast RAD51 and E. coli RecA genes.

Tested Applications
ICC/IFIPWB
For IF: Suggested starting dilution 1:100. Fix cells using a 4% paraformaldehyde solution and permeabilize using SDS (0.03% in a 4% paraformaldehyde solution). Incubate antibody overnight. For IP: Use at an assay dependent dilution. For WB: Suggested starting dilution 1:200. Predicted molecular weight: 41 kDa. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.:
Specific for DMC1 - does not cross-react with the related protein Rad51.
