Product Profile
Product Name Fatty Acid Synthase antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Anti - Fatty Acid Synthase polyclonalFAS (Fatty Acid Synthase) is a central enzyme in de novo lipogenesis (triglyceride production). It is a target for SREBP and is upregulated by LXR activation. Fatty liver is often the result of FAS activation. It is also one of the accepted markers for insulin resistance and SREBP , LXR activation.
Immunogen An internal synthetic peptide, conjugated to KLH, made near the N-terminus of the mouse FAS protein sequence.
Key Feature
Clonality Polyclonal
Host Species Rabbit
Tested Applications ICC/IFIHC-PIPWB
Recommended Starting Dilutions: For WB: Use at a dilution of 1:1000. For IHC-P: Use at a dilution of 1:500. For ICC/IF: Use at a dilution of 1:2000. For IP: Use at a dilution of 1:100. Optimal dilutions should be determined experimentally by the researcher.:

Application

Application

272 kDa FAS in 50mg of total mouse liver lysate by Western blot on 4-15% SDS polyacrylamide gel. Detected by ECL (1 second exposure).

Application

Western Blot: Fatty Acid Synthase Antibody - Expression of Fatty Acid Synthase in chicken hypothalamus. A: total RNA (1 ug) isolated from different tissues (brain, hypothalamus, liver and muscle) was subjected to RT-PCR using specific primers for chicken Fatty Acid Synthase or ribosomal 18S as a control B: tissue lysates (brain, hypothalmus, liver and muscle) were subjected to Western blot as described in MATERIALS AND METHODS. Blots were incubated with anti-Fatty Acid Synthase antibody and revealed by enhanced chemiluminescence.
Application Notes Recommended Starting Dilutions: For WB: Use at a dilution of 1:1000. For IHC-P: Use at a dilution of 1:500. For ICC/IF: Use at a dilution of 1:2000. For IP: Use at a dilution of 1:100. Optimal dilutions should be determined experimentally by the researcher.:
