Product Profile
Product Name HDAC2 antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to HDAC2This gene product belongs to the histone deacetylase family. Histone deacetylases act via the formation of large multiprotein complexes, and are responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues at the N-terminal regions of core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4). This protein forms transcriptional repressor complexes by associating with many different proteins, including YY1, a mammalian zinc-finger transcription factor. Thus, it plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression and developmental events. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2010]
Immunogen HDAC2 antibody was raised against an 18 amino acid peptide near the carboxy terminus of human HDAC2.

Gene Synonyms YAF1 , histone deacetylase 2 , RPD3 , HD2
Target HDAC2
Tissue Specificity HDAC2 antibody is human and rat reactive. At least two isoforms of HDAC2 are known to exist; this antibody will detect both isoforms. HDAC2 antibody is predicted to not cross-react with other members of the HDAC family.
Application

Application

Western blot analysis of HDAC2 in HeLa cell lysate with HDAC2 antibody at (A) 0.5 and (B) 1 ug/ml.

Application

Immunohistochemistry of HDAC2 in rat testis tissue with HDAC2 antibody at 5 ug/mL.

Application

Immunofluorescence of HDAC2 in rat testis tissue with HDAC2 antibody at 20 ug/mL.
