Product Profile
Product Name Histone H3.3 antibody
Antibody Type Primary Antibodies
Product description Rabbit Monoclonal antibody [RM190] to Histone H3.3Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Two molecules of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) form an octamer, around which approximately 146 bp of DNA is wrapped in repeating units, called nucleosomes. The linker histone, H1, interacts with linker DNA between nucleosomes and functions in the compaction of chromatin into higher order structures. This gene contains introns and its mRNA is polyadenylated, unlike most histone genes. The protein encoded is a replication-independent member of the histone H3 family. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Target Histone H3.3
Tissue Specificity This antibody reacts to Histone H3.3, independent of post-translational modifications. No cross reactivity with Histone H3.1 or other histone proteins.
Application

Application

Western Blot of HeLa whole cell lysate, recombinant Histone H3.3 and Histone H3.1 proteins, using RM190 at 1 ug/mL, showed a band of histone H3.3 in HeLa cells and recombinant H3.3 protein, and no cross activity with Histone H3.1.

Application

RM190 reacts specifically to Histone H3.3. No cross reactivity with Histone H3.1.
