Western blot analysis on 293T cell lysates using anti-Phospho-IRE1 (pS724) RabMAb (cat. #). Cells were either (A) untreated (B) treated with Calyculin A.
Rabbit monoclonal antibody [EPR5253] to IRE1 alpha (phospho Ser724)IRE1 is the ER to nucleus signalling 1 protein, a human homologue of the yeast Ire1 gene product. It possesses intrinsic kinase activity and an endoribonuclease activity and it is important in altering protein expression as a response to endoplasmic reticulum-based stress signals (1).
Immunogen
A phospho specific peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Serine 724 of human IRE1 was used as an immunogen. This antibody only detects IRE1 phosphorylated at Serine 724.
